Dozens of
children from age’s birth through 4th grade turned out to look for eggs filled with candy as well as the golden egg
holding the "grand prize gold coin" in their sectioned area.
The sections
were divided into 3 areas, according to their age, birth to kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades, and 3rd & 4th grades.
There were
3 grand prize winners; 1 winner from each section, winning a $50.00 savings bond for their efforts and fun.
There were
2 bean bag throw games and a duck pond game for the kids to win prizes. Brenda
Fossell, who has been a member for 2 years, brought her children’s pet bunnies to share with the children and the Easter
bunny visited with the children and posed for pictures available to the public at no charge.
Thanks to
all the donations, volunteers, and sponsors for their help to make this possible including the Aurora Lions club, Biwabik
Civic Association, East Range Rotary, Hoyt Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Hoyt Lakes Lions club, Mesaba Drug Ben Franklin, Sam
Benson, Jennifer Henry, Shaina Holter, Rosemary Maki, Barb Milne, and Megan Wilkes.
